Step into a key technical leadership role driving the delivery of a grid-connected solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. Influence design, optimise performance, and ensure successful project execution across the full lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering across FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning
- Deliver and review core designs:
- HV/LV distribution, grid connection interfaces
- Solar PV layouts, inverter systems, collector networks
- BESS integration, controls, and interfaces
- Produce and verify technical deliverables: SLDs, protection schemes, earthing, cable sizing
- Drive design optimisation, cost efficiency, and constructability improvements
- Ensure compliance with Australian standards and grid requirements
- Interface with OEMs, EPC/EPCM contractors, and project stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Tertiary Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
- 8–12+ years’ experience in power or renewable energy projects
- Strong background in:
- Utility-scale solar PV systems
- BESS integration and performance
- HV/LV system design, protection & earthing
- Proven track record delivering projects through to commissioning
- Experience working within EPC/EPCM or owner’s teams
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders
