This role is focused on improving plant reliability, reducing downtime, optimising maintenance strategies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, defect elimination, and reliability engineering principles.

Working closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and asset management teams, you will play a key role in improving equipment performance, throughput, and whole-of-life asset outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical reliability support across fixed plant operations
  • Analyse plant performance data to identify reliability improvement opportunities
  • Review and optimise maintenance strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce costs
  • Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and workshops
  • Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to minimise downtime risks
  • Develop Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategies and critical asset plans
  • Prepare downtime and performance reporting to support operational improvements
  • Identify and manage plant improvement and defect elimination projects
  • Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve asset performance
  • Support compliance with ISO55000 Asset Management principles and best practices
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety and environmental culture across all activities
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Systems, Processing or similar)
  • Experience in fixed plant maintenance and reliability engineering within heavy industry
  • Strong understanding of asset management and reliability methodologies
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools and defect elimination processes
  • Knowledge of maintenance and work management systems
  • Exposure to process control systems and plant operations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
  • Demonstrated workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement capability
  • Project management and continuous improvement experience highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
