We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of major capital upgrade projects within a mining or mineral processing environment.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving project performance across safety, schedule, cost, quality, and team outcomes. You will provide hands‑on direction to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.

The Role As Project Manager, you will have end‑to‑end responsibility for project execution, providing daily leadership, direction, and guidance to the project team. You will work closely with senior project leadership, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver capital works that meet business objectives, performance targets, and compliance requirements.
This role requires a strong balance of technical understanding, people leadership, commercial awareness, and safety leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital upgrade projects from initiation through to completion
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and performance to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Provide hands‑on leadership to multidisciplinary project teams, fostering a high‑performance culture
  • Identify project risks, bottlenecks, and cost pressures, implementing proactive mitigation strategies
  • Track and report project progress, milestones, risks, and performance to senior stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure aligned delivery
  • Drive the adoption of project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support senior leadership with performance reporting, planning, and decision‑making as required
Safety, Governance & Compliance
  • Lead by example in Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) performance
  • Ensure all project activities comply with WHS legislation, environmental regulations, and internal management systems
  • Embed risk management and safety controls into project planning and execution
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action close‑out
  • Ensure contractors and team members understand and meet safety and compliance obligations
About You

Essential:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ project management experience within mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry
  • Proven experience delivering capital projects safely, on time, and within budget
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing multidisciplinary, high‑performance teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong understanding of mining industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
  • National Police Clearance and current driver’s licence
Desirable:
  • Post‑graduate qualifications in Project Management, Leadership, or Management
