Build platforms that help engineers move faster.
A leading WA resources organisation is building out its Data & AI capabilities and is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help create the foundations behind modern engineering delivery.
This team treats the platform as a product — building reusable tools, automation and standards that make it easier for engineering teams to build, deploy and operate services reliably.
If you enjoy solving complex platform challenges, improving developer experience and building things that other engineers rely on, this could be a great fit.
What you'll be doing
- Build and improve platform capabilities, tooling and automation.
- Develop reusable CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Support Kubernetes platforms across cloud environments.
- Improve monitoring, logging and observability practices.
- Create practical documentation and processes that teams actually use.
- Work closely with engineering, security and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions.
You’ll have hands-on experience across:
- Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE or Cloud Engineering.
- AWS cloud environments.
- Kubernetes (EKS, OpenShift or similar).
- Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
- CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions.
- Linux environments.
- Automation and scripting using Python, Go, Bash or similar.
- Building reliable systems with a focus on operational excellence.
- Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) or developer tooling experience.
- Observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise, resources or operational environments.
- Exposure to edge/OT environments.
- Work on a modern cloud and platform engineering environment.
- Help shape how engineering teams build and deliver software.
- Solve interesting problems across cloud, automation and reliability.
- Join a collaborative team working on large-scale digital initiatives.
