Working as part of a high-performing technical team, you will provide critical metallurgical support to plant operations, helping optimise processing performance, improve recoveries and support ongoing production objectives. This role offers valuable exposure to a complex processing environment and the opportunity to make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day metallurgical support to plant operations
- Monitoring and optimising plant performance, recoveries and throughput
- Analysing process data and identifying improvement opportunities
- Investigating metallurgical and operational issues and recommending solutions
- Supporting production teams with technical advice and guidance
- Assisting with metallurgical reporting and performance tracking
- Working closely with operational and technical stakeholders to achieve production targets
- Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Minerals Processing, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous experience as a Plant Metallurgist within a processing plant environment
- Strong understanding of metallurgical principles and process optimisation
- Experience working on mine sites or within operational processing facilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- The ability to integrate quickly into an operational team and deliver immediate value
- Immediate start opportunity
- Initial 2 to 4-month contract with extension potential
- FIFO roster of 8 days on, 6 days off
- Work within a technically challenging and complex processing operation
