We are seeking an experienced Package Engineer – Process Plant to support early‑stage study work on a greenfields processing project. Joining the team during Pre‑Feasibility Study (PFS) phases, this role will play a key part in defining clear, structured and execution‑ready process plant work packages.

You will work closely with process engineering, metallurgy and study leadership to create robust package scopes that support capital estimating, scheduling and investment decision making.
This role suits an engineer who enjoys the front‑end of projects and understands how good scope definition de‑risks cost, schedule and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine process plant package scopes of work during Scoping and PFS phases.
  • Translate process inputs (PFDs, mass balances, design criteria) into clear, WBS‑aligned packages.
  • Define package inclusions, exclusions, assumptions and interfaces to support accurate capital estimates.
  • Coordinate inputs across process, mechanical, piping, structural and E&I disciplines.
  • Support equipment selection, package‑level evaluations and study‑phase design reviews.
  • Provide package inputs to cost estimates, schedules, risk registers and BoE documentation.
  • Interface with engineering consultants and cost estimators to ensure scope consistency and clarity.
  • Embed safety‑in‑design, operability and maintainability considerations into package definitions.

About You
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience delivering or supporting process plant packages on minerals processing or mining projects.
  • Strong understanding of process plant scope definition.
  • Comfortable working in fast paced evolving environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Base metals or critical minerals projects experience
  • Previous package engineering experience within client side or EPCM role
