This role suits an engineer who enjoys the front‑end of projects and understands how good scope definition de‑risks cost, schedule and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine process plant package scopes of work during Scoping and PFS phases.
- Translate process inputs (PFDs, mass balances, design criteria) into clear, WBS‑aligned packages.
- Define package inclusions, exclusions, assumptions and interfaces to support accurate capital estimates.
- Coordinate inputs across process, mechanical, piping, structural and E&I disciplines.
- Support equipment selection, package‑level evaluations and study‑phase design reviews.
- Provide package inputs to cost estimates, schedules, risk registers and BoE documentation.
- Interface with engineering consultants and cost estimators to ensure scope consistency and clarity.
- Embed safety‑in‑design, operability and maintainability considerations into package definitions.
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical or related Engineering discipline.
- Experience delivering or supporting process plant packages on minerals processing or mining projects.
- Strong understanding of process plant scope definition.
- Comfortable working in fast paced evolving environment.
