This position suits a closure professional who can work autonomously, take ownership of closure delivery, and make sound decisions that support sustainable, long‑term outcomes.
The role is primarily Perth‑based (CBD) with occasional ad hoc site travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mine closure activities across rehabilitation and closure scopes
- Project manage closure programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory and corporate requirements
- Maintain and deliver closure governance and compliance frameworks
- Manage and reduce closure‑related risks, including unresolved Class IV risks
- Support delivery of progressive closure strategies and associated risk reduction initiatives
- Engage and coordinate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure closure decisions made today support long‑term closure success and liability reduction

- Rehabilitation and Closure Teams
- Design and Geotechnical Teams
- Water and Safety Specialists
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mine closure or rehabilitation roles
- Strong understanding of mine closure governance, compliance and approvals
- Proven experience project managing closure or rehabilitation activities
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capability
- Sound judgement and a long‑term, lifecycle‑focused approach to closure
- Contract duration: 18 months
- Start: ASAP
- Location: Perth CBD (Monday to Friday)
- Site travel: Ad hoc, as required
