Join a high-performing engineering team delivering large-scale studies and projects across some of Australia's most significant mining and infrastructure assets. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with strong design experience to contribute across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage studies through to execution.

About the Opportunity Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will play a key role in the delivery of mechanical and piping design solutions for major brownfield and greenfield developments. You will be involved in a diverse portfolio of projects, gaining exposure to scoping studies, prefeasibility, feasibility and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop mechanical and piping engineering deliverables including calculations, equipment selection, datasheets, equipment and piping schedules, lubrication schedules and bills of materials.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, specifications and industry best practice.
  • Support and review engineering drawings, layouts, plot plans, general arrangements and 3D models.
  • Manage equipment packages from specification through to vendor evaluation, technical clarifications and FAT participation.
  • Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, functional safety reviews, cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Deliver assigned scope safely, efficiently and within budget and schedule requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams and other engineering disciplines throughout project delivery.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mining, resources, heavy industrial or related sectors.
  • Strong detailed design experience within mechanical and piping engineering.
  • Experience with pumping and piping systems.
  • Ability to perform detailed engineering calculations and equipment sizing for pumps, tanks and piping systems.
  • Exposure to materials handling systems such as conveyors, feeders and bins will be highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
