Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of bulk earthworks scope – excavation, placement, compaction and material movement
- Drive contractor performance against schedule, cost and productivity targets
- Enforce compliance with design specifications, geotechnical requirements and HSE standards
- Optimise earthworks sequencing, haulage strategy and material balance
- Resolve constructability issues in collaboration with engineering/design teams
- Track quantities, progress and reporting accuracy
- Identify and mitigate risks (ground conditions, weather, access constraints)
- Promote a strong safety culture and site leadership presence
- Civil Engineering degree (essential)
- 10+ years’ experience leading bulk earthworks packages on mining or large infrastructure projects
- Proven delivery of large-scale earthworks programs ($100M+)
- Strong understanding of geotechnical controls and compaction requirements
- Demonstrated contractor management in site-based environments
- Working knowledge of Australian standards and WA regulations
- Strong commercial acumen (progress measurement, claims and variations)
- Confident interpreting drawings, specs and survey data
