A highly reputable, global systems integrator is seeking an experienced Lead Project Engineer – Communication Systems to lead a small engineering team and drive end-to-end engineering outcomes across complex communications projects.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you’ll provide technical direction, governance and delivery focus across a portfolio of communications systems and infrastructure projects — from design through to commissioning and handover.
Key responsibilities
- Lead engineering delivery across the full lifecycle (design, procurement, configuration/testing, commissioning, handover)
- Provide day-to-day leadership to a small engineering team
- Drive engineering governance, design reviews and Safety in Design practices
- Manage resourcing, priorities, deliverables, change and technical queries
- Partner closely with project delivery, field operations, technical support and stakeholders
- Degree in Telecommunications / Electrical / Electronic / Communications Engineering
- Eligibility for Engineers Australia membership (CPEng highly regarded)
- Strong experience delivering communications systems + infrastructure projects end-to-end
- Demonstrated people leadership + stakeholder management capability
