About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Lead Project Controller to join a growing projects team delivering capital and sustaining projects. This role is responsible for leading project controls activities across a portfolio of projects, providing planning, scheduling, cost control and reporting expertise to support successful project delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and senior stakeholders to deliver robust project controls, portfolio analytics and commercial insights that drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning and scheduling activities using industry-standard project controls software.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules across multiple projects.
  • Align resource planning with project delivery requirements and key milestones.
  • Monitor project performance through schedule analysis, cost tracking and forecasting.
  • Deliver portfolio-level reporting, dashboards and analytics to support senior leadership.
  • Oversee budget development, cost control, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Apply project controls methodologies including earned value management and schedule performance analysis.
  • Identify project risks, trends and opportunities, recommending mitigation strategies where required.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent project controls standards and reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across project controls processes and systems.
Skills & Experience
  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior project controls or project controller position.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls methodologies, including earned value management, cost control and schedule analysis.
  • Experience using project planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with project cost management and reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project performance data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across a portfolio of projects in a fast-paced environment.
