Working closely with site leadership and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in mine development, infrastructure execution, planning activities, and day-to-day operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee underground mining and development activities.
- Manage underground contractors and multidisciplinary work teams.
- Support mine planning, scheduling and operational readiness initiatives.
- Monitor project progress, productivity and performance against targets.
- Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site procedures and legislation.
- Liaise with operational, technical, commercial and corporate stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks while driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to required quality standards.
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, relevant mining diploma, or extensive underground hard rock mining experience.
- Experience within underground mining operations, mine development or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing contractors and site-based teams.
- Strong understanding of mine planning, scheduling and operational execution.
- Ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of mining legislation, safety standards and industry best practice.
- Current hands-on experience within an underground mining environment.
- WA Underground Supervisor's Certificate / Statutory Section 26 (S26) Certificate highly regarded but not essential.
