An opportunity exists for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join a major resources project in a site-based role supporting a large operational workforce. Working on a 1:1 FIFO roster, this position provides frontline HR support across multiple active projects and collaborates closely with site leadership to deliver effective people and culture outcomes.This is a standalone HR position on site, working alongside a back-to-back counterpart, with support provided by a broader corporate HR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical HR advice and support to operational leaders across a diverse workforce.
- Deliver end-to-end employee and industrial relations guidance in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Support enterprise bargaining and workforce consultation activities, including interpretation and application of industrial agreements.
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, workplace conflict, bullying, harassment, and psychosocial risk matters.
- Partner with leaders to build positive workplace culture, employee engagement, and workforce wellbeing initiatives.
- Conduct workplace investigations and prepare reports relating to incidents and employee matters.
- Provide advice on performance management, attendance management, and workforce planning activities.
- Maintain strong working relationships with employees, leaders, clients, and external stakeholders, including employee representatives where required.
- Ensure HR documentation, records, and reporting requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes and systems.
- Previous experience in a Human Resources Advisor role within the resources, construction, infrastructure, or heavy industry sectors.
- Working knowledge of employment legislation, employee relations, and industrial relations frameworks.
- Experience supporting operational and site-based workforces.
- Confidence managing sensitive employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong collaboration with remote support teams.
- Sound problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).
