An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced HSSE Advisor to join a growing industrial operation and play a key role in supporting safe and efficient site performance. Working within the broader Hygiene and HSEC function, you will partner closely with operational and leadership teams to drive a proactive safety culture while ensuring compliance with legislative and company requirements.

About the Role Reporting to the HSEC leadership team, you will provide practical safety support across site operations, contractors and project activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing HSSE advice and support to operational and project teams.
- Promoting a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring and engagement.
- Supporting risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Monitoring compliance with safety systems, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Facilitating contractor management and permit-to-work processes.
- Assisting with dangerous goods management, confined space activities and critical risk controls.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Supporting operational readiness and operational improvement programs.
- 5–10 years' experience in Health, Safety and Environmental roles within high-risk industrial environments.
- Experience within processing operations such as chemical plants, refineries, major hazard facilities, nickel, alumina, lithium, hydrogen, waste processing or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems, contractor safety management and critical risk controls.
- Experience managing hazards associated with confined space entry and dangerous goods.
- Experience working in fast-paced and evolving operational environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to influence, coach and build positive working relationships across all levels of the business.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety, Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- Permanent Monday to Friday position.
- Stable, locally based role with no FIFO travel required.
