Heritage Fieldwork Supervisor – Residential Pilbara 📍 Pilbara, WA | 8:6 Roster | 6-Month Contract

About the Opportunity A leading Tier 1 mining company in the Pilbara is seeking an experienced Heritage Fieldwork Supervisor to lead the safe delivery of its cultural heritage survey program across remote Western Australia.

This is a hands-on, field-focused role for someone who thrives outdoors, values cultural heritage and wants to lead meaningful survey work alongside Traditional Owners, contractors and cross-functional stakeholders.

You'll be coordinating in-field survey teams, managing contractors and bringing together the moving parts of a complex heritage program — all while maintaining the highest safety and engagement standards.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing contractors across the heritage survey program
  • Supervising field survey teams including contractors and Traditional Owners in line with site safety systems
  • Delivering in-field survey works across remote locations
  • Preparing, managing and implementing initial response plans and journey management plans
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting archaeological, ethnographic, botanical and environmental survey works with Traditional Owner involvement
  • Coaching survey participants on HSEC and CRM procedures
  • Maintaining cultural heritage fieldwork equipment, assets and fleet
  • Undertaking critical risk management as a team leader
What You'll Bring
  • A genuine commitment to safety — for yourself, your team and the communities you work with
  • Experience in a field leadership role with strong safety knowledge
  • A passion for working with Traditional Owners and cultural heritage
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across complex environments
  • Ability to travel up to 10 days at a time, work in remote and physically demanding conditions
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
Desirable
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • 4WD accreditation
  • GIS / Navigation skills
