We are looking for a technically strong and safety-focused professional to oversee the delivery of electrical construction projects across our Pilbara sites. Reporting directly to the Electrical Superintendent, you will manage multiple contractors and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
This role is available on a permanent full-time or contractor basis, operating on a 2/1 roster across Pilbara Operations.
What You'll Do
- Oversee multiple contracting companies and concurrent projects on site
- Review and accept Contractor Inspection and Test sheets
- Conduct Punch list walk-downs
- Manage isolation requirements
- Review and interpret project drawings
- Liaise with Superintendents, site teams, contractors and stakeholders on all project matters
- Coordinate with Commissioning teams for handover and SIMOPS
- Conduct Field Leadership activities
- Ensure BMS obligations are met
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Champion a safe work environment — comply with all HSE policies, directives and work instructions
- Report incidents and hazards promptly; correctly utilise all required PPE
- Mentor and develop team members through structured plans and on-the-job coaching
- Foster a collaborative, empowered workgroup where diverse ideas are valued
- Lead by example and hold others accountable to safe, compliant work practices
- A. A Grade Electrical Licence or equivalent tertiary qualification (minimum)
- 10+ years of electrical experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role within mining
- High Voltage switching certificate
- Certificate IV in Instrumentation and Controls
- S26 competency
- Experience with High Voltage distribution networks — overhead and underground
- Experience in Fibre and communications networks
- Experience with completions management systems
- Proven ability to review and interpret project drawings
- Strong knowledge of Australian standards, regulations and codes of practice for HS&E, construction, inspection, testing and commissioning
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Ability to balance operational excellence with collaborative, trusted partnerships
