An exciting opportunity exists for a Field Engineer to join a major underground mining operation in Western Australia. Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster, you will play a key role supporting underground construction, drilling and blind bore activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest engineering standards.
This is a hands-on site-based role suited to an engineer who enjoys working closely with contractors, supervisors and operational teams in a fast-paced underground environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to underground and blind bore construction activities.
- Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed in accordance with scope, schedule and quality requirements.
- Coordinate contractors and site personnel to achieve safe and efficient project outcomes.
- Assist with planning, scheduling and execution of underground works.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports and engineering calculations.
- Identify and resolve engineering and construction issues in the field.
- Participate in risk assessments, inspections and safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, statutory requirements and site procedures.
- Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous experience in mining, underground construction, infrastructure or drilling projects.
- Strong understanding of field engineering and site-based project delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote FIFO environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Long-term FIFO opportunity on a 2:1 roster.
- 12-hour days, 84 hours per week.
