We are partnering with a leading organisation delivering large-scale technology projects in the resources sector, and we're looking for an experienced Engineering Lead to join the team.
This isn't a people management role. It's about providing technical leadership across a complex engineering program, making sure engineering, operations, projects and external vendors stay aligned from design through to delivery.

What you'll be doing
- Be the technical point of contact between engineering teams, project delivery, operations and technology vendors.
- Drive technical workshops, design discussions and requirements reviews.
- Keep engineering decisions, interfaces, assumptions and risks visible and moving forward.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical issues before they become delivery problems.
- Ensure engineering documentation, requirements and design outputs remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
- Help shape engineering processes that support safe, reliable and scalable system delivery.
You'll likely have a background in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Software Engineering or Automation, along with experience delivering complex technology into operational environments.
We're particularly interested in people who have:
- Around 8+ years' experience delivering integrated software and hardware solutions.
- Worked across engineering, operations, projects and external vendors.
- Strong experience with systems integration, requirements management and technical coordination.
- Exposure to autonomous systems, industrial automation, mining, rail, defence or other safety-critical industries.
- An understanding of functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262 or similar is a bonus, but not essential.
You'll be joining a collaborative engineering team working on technology that's genuinely challenging, highly visible and making a real difference to operational safety and performance.
