The Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high‑voltage infrastructure works, including transmission lines and substation construction, from planning through to completion.
This role provides construction leadership across safety, quality, schedule, and cost, ensuring works are executed in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, and legislative requirements. The position plays a critical interface role between contractors, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure reliable and compliant infrastructure delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
  • Develop, review, and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned work packages
  • Coordinate contractors to ensure timely and efficient execution of construction activities
  • Monitor progress against schedule and address delivery risks and constraints
Technical Oversight
  • Provide technical guidance and on‑site troubleshooting support across HV infrastructure scopes
  • Ensure works align with approved scope of work, design documentation, and applicable industry standards
  • Support resolution of technical issues impacting construction execution
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all construction activities are carried out in full compliance with safety legislation, standards, and site procedures
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across project teams and contractors
  • Actively participate in safety leadership activities and site interactions
Quality Assurance
  • Implement quality control and assurance measures across construction works
  • Ensure completed works meet required specifications, standards, and acceptance criteria
  • Support inspections, audits, and quality close‑out processes
Cost Management
  • Monitor project costs and contractor performance against approved budgets
  • Identify potential cost overruns and support the implementation of corrective actions
  • Contribute to effective cost control and value‑focused delivery
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project records and documentation
  • Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes, and regular project status updates
  • Clearly communicate progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders
Health, Safety & Environment Responsibilities
  • Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
  • Participate in safety initiatives and required training
  • Immediately report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions
  • Correctly use all provided personal protective equipment
  • Ensure actions and decisions support the health, safety, and wellbeing of all personnel
About You
  • Proven experience supervising or managing construction of high‑voltage transmission and substation infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of construction execution, contractor management, and technical compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage safety, quality, schedule, and cost outcomes concurrently
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination capability
  • Practical, solutions‑focused leadership style with strong site presence
