The role
- Lead and manage construction within a defined area of scope — quality, schedule, cost and safety
- Drive constructability thinking from design phase through to execution
- Identify and manage risk; make informed decisions to keep the project moving
- Coordinate contractor and functional team inputs; manage owner obligations (access, permits, free-issue materials)
- Monitor progress, manage deviations, and push continuous improvement
- Coach, develop and manage your team — identify talent and build capability
- Ensure tie-ins, testing, start-up and ramp-up are planned to minimise operational impacts
You'll have
- Significant construction management experience in heavy mining or resources
- Proven project leadership — you've led teams through complex, fast-paced environments and delivered
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, mining regulations, and industry best practice
- The ability to motivate teams, resolve conflict, and drive results under pressure
- Sound understanding of HSE compliance, risk management, and contract administration
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or construction, a trade certificate, or project management certification
