Electrical Commissioning Supervisor | FIFO | 2:1 Roster Lead the charge on a major iron ore development in WA.

We're looking for a seasoned Electrical Commissioning Supervisor to take ownership of electrical commissioning and energisation across a high-profile mining project. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be running the show on site, working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, construction and operations teams to get systems tested, verified and handed over safely.

This is a FIFO role operating a 2:1 roster(2 weeks on / 1 week off).

What You'll Be Doing
  • Planning and managing commissioning schedules aligned with construction milestones
  • Leading and mentoring commissioning technicians, electricians and subcontractors on site
  • Overseeing pre-commissioning checks and functional testing of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs and control panels
  • Witnessing and validating test results for compliance with design and regulatory requirements
  • Troubleshooting and resolving faults to keep systems safe and operational
  • Driving HSE compliance across all commissioning activities including permit-to-work systems
  • Preparing commissioning reports, test certificates and handover documentation
  • Verifying installations meet Australian standards (AS/NZS 3000) and design intent
What You'll Need
  • Electrical Trade Certificate or Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • WA Electrical Licence
  • 10+ years' experience in electrical commissioning on iron ore or heavy industrial projects
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, protection schemes and commissioning practices
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and technical specs
  • Proven leadership in FIFO environments with remote site experience
  • Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills
What'll Set You Apart
  • HV Switching Ticket
  • Familiarity with mining infrastructure — HV distribution, substations, conveyors
  • Track record on large-scale iron ore developments
  • Strong problem-solving under pressure
ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE PERMANENT RESIDENCY OR CITIZENSHIP WITHIN AUSTRALIA.
