We are seeking experienced Contracts Specialists to join a major resources organisation across a number of projects. Working closely with project teams, procurement, commercial and key stakeholders, you will support the effective management of contracts throughout the procurement and project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and management of contracts across project requirements.
- Assist with tendering, procurement and contract award activities.
- Prepare and review contract documentation, scopes of work and commercial correspondence.
- Manage contractual obligations, variations, claims, notices and correspondence.
- Monitor contractor performance, deliverables and compliance with contract requirements.
- Support negotiations with contractors and suppliers.
- Assist with contract administration, reporting and close-out activities.
- Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.
- Work closely with project, procurement, engineering, construction and commercial teams.
- Identify and escalate contractual and commercial risks.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure activities are aligned with company policies, procedures and governance requirements.
- Previous experience in contracts, commercial, procurement or contract administration within the resources, mining, construction or major projects sector.
- Experience managing contracts through procurement and delivery phases.
- Strong understanding of contract administration, variations, claims and commercial processes.
- Experience working with contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a project environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Commercial, Business, Law, Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
