Key Responsibilities
- Manage the completion process for tunnel ventilation, fire detection, and fire suppression systems across multiple worksites.
- Develop, review, and close out Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), system completion certificates, and handover documentation.
- Operate a completion management system (e.g., MIPS, ICAPS, WinPCS, or equivalent): populate, track, and drive close-out.
- Coordinate punch list management, defect tracking, and final certification across mechanical and fire scope.
- Interface with commissioning engineers, site supervisors, design engineers, and the client to drive systems through to handover and operational acceptance.
- Support the production of System Completion (SC) and Operational Acceptance (OA) packages.
- Maintain quality records and traceability to support final asset handover to the operator.
- 8+ years’ experience in completions or testing & commissioning (T&C) management on major infrastructure projects (rail, road tunnel, metro, or similar).
- Experience with tunnel ventilation systems and/or fire & life safety systems (strongly preferred).
- Working knowledge of completion systems/software (e.g., MIPS, ICAPS, WinPCS, Hexagon SmartPlant, or similar).
- Experience in a Tier 1 contractor / major project JV environment (or similar).
- Engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, or related) preferred but not essential —relevant project experience is prioritised.
- Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working across multiple worksites in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
- Prior experience on major underground / tunnel projects.
- Exposure to Queensland rail standards.
