Looking for an experienced Lead or Principal to make the jump into an engineering manager position. An outstanding opportunity to make the jump and make the grade.

This specific client has an outstanding reputation for cutting edge and dynamic design processes focused on the minerals industry in Gold, Nickel and Copper. Our client has a requirement for a Engineering Manager, Brisbane CBD based with regular site visits on an excellent salary package or contract rate. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing scope of work for each project or proposal;
  • Scheduling and expediting work of department;
  • Developing organisational procedures, methods and controls;
  • Ensuring quality and safety standards and procedures are followed;
  • Coordinating activities with other departments and clients;
  • Making staffing decisions and providing employees with training and development opportunities.

The following experience/skills are required for this position

  • Qualifications acceptable for membership of the institution of engineers; preferred backgrounds are Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 12 years experience as an engineering with a strong appreciation for multi-discipline engineering teams and people management skills
  • A specialty in mining and minerals projects in processing
  • Understanding  of engineering disciplines and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/fields;
  • Understanding of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria.
